My dream is that the UPA unites all usability and user experience practitioners from around the globe. By sharing ideas, visions and innovation strategies across cultures and by supporting those who research, design, and evaluate the user experience we can truly make a difference. I invite you to join our UPA family today and welcome you to our international network of extremely inclusive and inspiring people.

(2008-2010)

My goal is to help each chapter hold regular programs that are interesting and engaging for their members. The primary way to achieve this is by connecting chapters across the globe so that we can all learn from others experiences through quarterly conference calls and the Chapter Leaders' Yahoo Group. Regional Coordinators will support chapters by connecting them to professionals traveling in their area that are available to speak.

The UPA would like reach 50 chapters by the end of 2009 (48 Chapters in June 2009). New and developing chapters will continue to receive support from myself as well as from the UPA Office in Chicago, IL. UPA's future growth will come from our strong chapters. I look forward to supporting, creating and connecting chapters across the world.

UPA publications are a key benefit and resource to our members. They play a vital role in furthering UPA's overall mission, helping to develop our professional community, and presenting our profession to the world. I am especially interested in helping UPA publications contribute to larger goals, such as continuing to develop UPA as an international community, extending the philosophy, approaches, and knowledge that UPA represents to new domains, and cross-pollinating ideas and methods with other professional organizations in the user experience arena.
