Sessions
- Experienced Practitioner Program (Tuesday)
- Experienced Practitioners' all day program includes five sessions geared toward practitioners with at least 5-10 years of experience who desire a deeper level of understanding and discussion.
- Experienced Practitioner Topic Seminars
- 90-minute forum in which experienced usability professionals can discuss focused topics in more detail than at presentations or panels. These were previously called Advanced Topic Seminars.
- Idea Markets (Wednesday - Friday)
- The Idea Market occurs in a single room with multiple "activators" who simultaneously promote interaction about "burning questions" in usability and user-centered design.
- Panels
- There are two types of Panels, both occurring during a 90-minute moderated session. Traditional Panels have a discussion between a panel of 4-6 experts in usability methods, skills, philosophy, design, business case studies, or another relevant topic. 10-Minute Talk sessions have multiple speakers with 10 minutes to present their perspective or share "nuggets of wisdom" about a particular theme. Following both types of panels, there will be time for audience questions and comments.
- Peer-Reviewed Papers
- A 40 minute presentation on methodologies and tools, or fieldwork and ethnography. The presenter will have written a 4-6 page paper about the topic in addition to presenting.
- Presentations (40 Minute)
- Focus on a practitioner's ideas and experience with usability methods, skills, philosophy, design, business case studies, or other relevant topics.
- Presentations (90 Minute)
