There is a lot to see and do in Portland. The conference is located downtown, and the hotel is in walking distance of the Waterfront. Walk or take public transportation (free within Fareless Square) to the trendy Pearl District (http://www.explorethepearl.com/) or Nob Hill neighborhoods, or explore Portland’s more funky indie scene at the Belmont/Hawthorn or Northeast Alberta neighborhoods. You can appreciate the Pacific Northwest beauty both in the city and outside the city limits- Multnomah Falls, along the historic Columbia River highway, is only a 40 minutes drive and you can practically drive up to the waterfalls.
