For Volunteers

UPA conferences are made possible through the efforts of people who care about promoting usability - and your contribution can help make the UPA 2012 conference in Las Vegas the leading forum for the exchange of ideas among usability practitioners.

Onsite Conference Volunteers

Onsite conference volunteers must be available throughout the entire conference, June 4-8, 2012, and contribute 18-21 hours of service during that time. The success of volunteers in the past is based on communication, so attendance is mandatory at volunteer meetings during the conference.

Potential volunteer assignments include staffing the information booth, helping at the registration desk, or assisting session chairs and tutorial instructors. See the information below for Frequently Asked Questions about Onsite Conference Volunteers.

How many Onsite Conference Volunteers are needed?

For the UPA 2012 conference, we will need at least 30 volunteers. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to full-time students. If the available volunteer opportunities have been filled, your name will be placed on the wait-list.
