11th Annual UPA ConferenceThe annual Usability Professionals' Association (UPA) conference will take place July 8-12, 2002, at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida. We invite you to come to Orlando to share with your peers, to learn from the best of our profession, and to extend your personal and professional contacts throughout the industry. The Advance Program will be available online by April 12. In the meantime, a preview of the conference content is available. The conference theme, Humanizing Design, emphasizes the importance of the human experience to the design of usable technology products. If technology is to improve the human experience, it needs to respect human expectations, tendencies, and dignity. Shaping technology to meet human needs is as much a science as it is an art. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort is located four miles from the EPCOT® Center and Walt Disney World®, and near many other attractions. The resort features a private lake and miles of tropical nature trails for bicycling, world-class golf, tennis, horseback riding and jogging. Restaurants and shops are located within convenient walking and driving distance. Keynote Speaker: Joel Birnbaum
