Usability in the News

Wii Fit's workouts are fun, if not entirely motivational (Seatllepi.com, 18 May 2008)
"After spending several days with the game, I have mixed feelings about Wii Fit's long-term use as a fitness tool. Though I like the way it gave me immediate feedback on how accurately I was executing my exercises, I'm not convinced the experience was compelling enough to make me more inclined to work out than I was before."

Manchester resident a hit in Ford's new TV ads (mlive.com, 8 May 2008)
"The product visualization center deals mainly with the subjective experience of the driver, using virtual reality to simulate how different people will interact with different car interiors. All without building an actual car."

Users find business apps complex and hurt productivity (Computerworld, 22 May 2008)
"Results of a recent survey indicated that the majority of end users (60 percent) find enterprise applications somewhat difficult, very difficult or almost impossible to use, hampering employee productivity."

The Future of Usability Testing (IT-Director, 23 May 2008)
"The invited attendees included developers, usability experts, an internet psychologist, and journalists all with considerably understanding and strong opinions about usability. I came with a strong interest in accessibility, which to a great extent can be seen as a subset of the usability requirements."
