UPA Voice - February 2010 Edition
The February 2010 edition of the UPA Voice is now available. The Voice is a project of the UPA Publications Committee, published since 1999. It includes articles of interest to usability professionals and UPA activities. The editorial board consists of UPA volunteers Judy Blostein (Editor), Vynarack Xaykao, and Brenda Murray.
UX Magazine - Issue 9.1
The latest issue of UX Magazine titled "UX Maturity Models and Agile Development", is online and available for review. UX is a magazine by and about usability professionals, featuring significant and unique articles dealing with the broad field of usability and the user experience. The magazine offers an editorial balance among strategy, management issues, philosophy, methodology and practice.

Thursday, March 11 - Products over Process: Advancing Agility with Design Thinking (David Hussman, DevJam)
(Minneapolis, MN) - This session will present the state of agile methods today and how they are interacting with and evolving from design thinking and design practices. We will discuss a series of conferences where agilists and designers have met and discussed better ways of producing meaningful products in a timely manner, or as someone once said, "building the right thing, the right way".
Monday, March 15 - 5th FLUPA Breakfast Series, User Profiles and Personas
(Luxembourg-Kirchberg, France) - At this conference, authors will discuss a method for defining user profiles and needs, namely personas. These will be introduced as a technique to represent the ergonomic requirements of users. After an introduction that will focus on defining personas as prospective methods, participatory and creative ergonomics, the conference is to take stock of this new approach, emphasizing his own interest in ergonomics, but also its limits.
