Does a piece of paper really matter? Friend of usability

Two more “Friends of Usability” received awards in recognition for their efforts to bring usability through their support of usability professionals. One was so chuffed he was parading the award certificate around - showing the award is defniately worth the paper it is written on.

Their stories are posted on the UPA site:

• A Program Manager at DuPont believed in and incorporated user-centered design up front. Because she recognizes a “viable business reason” for usability and she “never leaves users behind.” She received the Friends of Usability award from her usability consultant.  
• A Director of Product Management at Peace Software was the impetus behind incorporating usability into the software life cycle. He received the award – and cake!
