UPA2006: Usability through Storytelling
June 12-16, 2005—Broomfield, CO

by DeeDee DeMulling and Carol J. Smith

DeeDee DeMulling is the owner of Prodex Consulting in Minneapolis, MN and the Co-Chair of UPA 2006.

Carol J. Smith is a member of Accenture's Global User Experience Group in Washington, D.C., and the Co-Chair of UPA 2006.

The UPA Conference Committee is planning next year’s conference. We are currently evaluating excellent submissions for Tutorials, Workshops, Panels, Presentations, Advanced Topic Seminars, and 10 Minute Talks. We are really excited about the program we see evolving.

Submissions have closed for Tutorials, Workshops, Panels, Presentations, Advanced Topics and 10 Minute Talks, but there’s still plenty of time to submit Idea Market and Poster proposals. Given the success of the French Track in Montreal, we are considering an “Advanced Professionals” track for 2006. Look for more information shortly.

UPA 2006 will be held at the Omni Interlocken Resort, located in Broomfield, Colorado (between Denver and Boulder. This luxurious hotel includes a full-service spa, fitness center, and golf course, and there is good hiking, shopping, and downtown Boulder is nearby. Room rates are $137 single/double, plus applicable taxes. For a virtual tour, go to the Omni Interlocken Resort website.

Look for information on Keynote, Closing, and Invited Speakers in the next issue. For all the up-to-date news on UPA 2006, check out the UPA 2006 Conference page.
