Minnesota Chapter Notes

The Minnesota Chapter of UPA, chartered in October 1999, was the first local chapter of UPA. The chapter currently has about 50 members, most from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. New members are always welcome. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at different host companies in the Twin Cities area. On average, 15-30 people attend monthly chapter meetings.

Meetings provide members with a forum to discuss usability and interface design methods, issues, solutions, and tools. Upcoming meetings will feature presentations titled "Web Teams: Roles, Team Dynamics and Virtual Collaboration" and "Human Factors Evaluations of Traffic Control Devices." In the Spring, chapter members will tour the Minneapolis Institute of Art to discuss interactive media kiosks and environmental design.

Members include independent consultants as well as employees of small companies and large corporations.
