UPA 2002: Humanizing Design

The UPA 2002 conference committee is busy planning for next year's conference in Orlando, Florida, at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, July 8-12. The newly formed 2002 committee began its activities at the 2001 conference during the Volunteer Participation lunch, which 22 people attended. Our first visible activity has been a post-conference Web survey asking attendees at the 2001 conference questions about hotel accommodations, food preferences, and plans for bringing family members to the 2002 conference.

The committee is currently preparing the Call for Participation for the 2002 conference and will notify UPA members when it is available online (printed copies will also be mailed). Please make sure the UPA office has your current email and mailing addresses. In addition, the committee is reviewing the evaluations from the 2001 conference to address areas of improvement and to note which speakers, tutorials, and presentations were the most highly rated and why.
