User Interface Designer

Human Kinetics is looking for a qualified candidate to join our Application Design & Development team who has the ability to work well in a team environment.  As a User Interface Designer, you will gain exposure to the Human Kinetics business in producing a range of usability deliverables.  You will work closely with developers, designers, and project leads to make sure that our day-to-day creative output leads to a positive user experience. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prototype user experience for static and dynamic websites, mobile applications, or stand-alone software products.
• Support and participate in usability testing activities.  You will need to understand testing options and how to use results to improve the user experience.
• Create deliverables such as wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps, use cases, and high-level prototypes that serve as a guide for the content, design, and technology team to implement.
• Act as Project Lead on projects with a significant focus on user-experience.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstration of strong user experience, creative, and organizational vision for the web, mobile, and software applications
• Understanding of information design and usability best practices
• Investigate and resolve user experience issues through evaluation and testing
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Proficiency with computers, office productivity software, and electronic collaborative tools
• Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Effective time and resource management skills

Educational Requirements:

4-year degree:  Computer Science
