Developing the Profession
The UPA Professional Development Committee has several projects in progress:
- Body of
Knowledge
A project to develop a comprehensive Usability Body of Knowledge, defining the knowledge underlying the usability profession, with pointers to methods, knowledge, and skills that are important for usability professionals. - Code
of Conduct
This project developed the Code of Conduct, approved in September 2005, and serves as the Ethics Advisory Committee for UPA. - Certification
for Usability Professionals
A 2001-2002 project to investigate the current climate for certification of usability professionals. This work led to the current Body of Knowledge project.
