Silvia Inéz Salazar, MPA, is a public health advisor in the office of Market Research and Evaluation at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). In 2008, she received the NIH Director’s Award, Gold National Health Information Award, and Gold NIH Plain Language Award. She served as the 2000 Edward Roybal Public Health Fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Ms. Salazar holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College at the City University of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish literature from the University of California, Los Angeles.
