Serena Hillman has extensive professional and academic experience in the electronic commerce field. Since 2003, Serena has worked at major organizations developing e-commerce websites that are user-friendly and socially engaging. The research discussed here is part of her in-progress doctoral thesis for the Connections Lab at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Carman Neustaedter, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the School of Interactive Arts + Technology at Simon Fraser University, and director of the Connections Lab research group. His research is in design, human-computer interaction, and ubiquitous computing, where he focuses on the design and use of technologies to support everyday domestic life.
