The links at the top lead you to different topics of interest where you can read, share, and collaborate on ideas for the new organization, and discuss what you’d like out of UXPA membership.

Having been in the “User Experience” industry for my entire professional career (17 years) I’m very happy about the UPA to UXPA name change. I feel it reflects a broader more inclusive and open community that encourages collaboration across multiple disciplines whether formalized or guerrilla-style.
Even though the term UX is abstract, I don’t think we should treat the rest of the world as stupid and try and dumb it down. The holistic idea of user experience is complex and pretending that it is not or that it is something else doesn’t seem to help anyone long term.
Like anything that is worth while, it takes work to spread the word. UX has caught on and is here to stay.
