Welcome to UXPA 2013 in Washington, D.C., USA!
How many times have you been to a conference and gotten an “Aha!” moment? Thought to yourself, “I have a better idea, and I want to share it with everybody?”
Unconference sessions are your opportunity to do just that, and they are back this year by popular demand. Unconference sessions are lightning talks in which you present for 10 minutes and have another 10 minutes to answer any questions from your audience. You can speak on any non-commercial UX-related topic – new methods, case studies, Q&A on an interesting topic.
Here’s how it works:
- First, you decide on your topic and post it on the Unconference bulletin board near the exhibitors hallway before 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.
- Then generate some interest in your topic – tweet, chat people up at the opening reception, whatever you can think of – and seek votes from other attendees.
- On Thursday, July 11, attendees have until 2:00 p.m. to cast their votes for the proposals they want to hear more about.
- The top 6 topics will be selected to present during the Unconference sessions on Friday, July 12.
So what are you waiting for? Roll up your sleeves. Be brave and crazy. Submit a topic!
