Common Industry Format (CIF) reloaded

The new CIF framework for usability-related information throughout analysis, design and evaluation of interactive systems (ISO/IEC TR 25060)

Every profession maintains standards for their work. In 2005 the International Standards Organization published ISO/IEC 25062 “Common Industry Format (CIF) for Usability Test Reports”. Meanwhile further work has been conducted to standardize the content of the outputs of the Usability-Engineering Lifecycle. A “general Framework for Usability-related Information” (ISO/IEC TR 25060) is now available that introduces the outputs of the usability-engineering process. The presentation gives an overview of the new standard focusing on its value for Usability Professionals.
