Intentionally Biasing Users

An Empirical Study of Interpellative User Experiences on University Donor Websites

In response to the research question, what are the mechanisms which “interpellate” or persuade users to join donor communities, this empirical study provides eight design techniques that can be used to build persuasive websites. The study used correlational analysis and a think-aloud protocol to create an “interpellation research instrument.”
