We create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas, test them with users, and document them for development. Many wireframing tools are available, each with pros and cons for different situations. About the Workshop

ABSTRACT: We create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas, test them with users, and document them for development. Many wireframing tools are available, each with pros and cons for different situations. This workshop allows experienced practitioners to discuss tools they use, evaluate new ones, and learn from each other's experience.

GOALS FOR THE SESSION:

Attendees at this session will:

  • Define criteria for evaluating and selecting wireframing/prototyping tools.
  • Recommend tools that they currently use and tools they would like to evaluate.
  • Participate in evaluating and rating some wireframing/prototyping tools.
  • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of different tools.
  • "Take aways" include exposure to new tools and a clearer idea of when each tool is best used.
