User Experience in China: A Market Snaphot of the Present and a Look Ahead
This presentation will provide a short history of the user experience field in China, a snapshot of UX in China today, and a look toward the future. In the forward-looking part of this presentation, Jason will cover opportunities for both local and international practitioners, as well as where the opportunities and risks are for the UX field in China and Asia as a whole.
Jason Huang is a user experience professional as well as founder and principal of TANG Consulting/Innovation For China. He received his Masters Degree in Human Communication and Computing at the University of Bath, UK. In 2004 he co-founded UPA China as the first non-profit user experience organization in China, and was elected President in 2005. Over the past 3 years, UPA China has organized four annual User Friendly conferences in China, and Jason has led the UPA China team to make both UPA China and User Friendly internationally-recognized brands.
Jason began his career as an Interaction Designer for a smart phone design house in Shanghai. In 2005, he helped set up HFI China in Shanghai. As HFI's Managing Director in China, he led the team to win clients such as SAP, Microsoft, Huawei, Haier and Samsung to name a few. In May 2007 he founded TANG Consulting/Innovation For China.
