Communication Techniques for Interviewing Expert Users
When users understand complex information and/or interfaces far better than the usability practitioner does, the concept of "interface problem" becomes more culturally contingent and harder to define. In interviewing users who are subject matter experts, questions should be more or less specific, indirect, and/or frequent depending on the type of human-human and human-interface interaction involved.
